Busy Philipps: 'James Franco shoved me to the ground'

Busy Philipps and James Franco "really, really disliked each other" while shooting Freaks and Geeks.

The pair starred together in the television show, which ran for one series in 1999 and 2000. But Busy has now revealed her time on the show was anything but easy, naming James as "the most difficult celebrity" she has ever worked with.

Busy made the admission during an interview on Watch What Happens Live! on Wednesday night (13Jul16), when she was questioned about her time on the small screen.

Speaking about their tumultuous relationship, Busy explained to host Andy Cohen: "James Franco and I really didn't get along when we were on Freaks and Geeks, we were 19 and we really, really disliked each other." Busy recalled one incident in which she alleged James became physical with her, explaining: "Yeah, he shoved me to the ground once, it was really brutal…because we did not get along."

However, despite their former dislike for one another, James and Busy have now put their issues behind them.

"We like each other now, as adults, but as kids we really did not get along," Busy said.

As well as her role in Freaks and Geeks, Busy is most well known for playing Audrey Liddell in hit teen drama Dawson's Creek. The series saw her have relationships with various co-stars, including Joshua Jackson as Pacey, but in real life the Cougar Town actress stressed she has never slept with any of her fellow actors.

Busy laughed: "I really messed up my twenties. I always had these boyfriends and I guess I was very loyal to them…they were just like normal people. Now I'm married and it's game over!"

Busy wed screenwriter Marc Silverstein in 2007 and the pair has two daughters together.
