Blake Shelton won't expose 'juicy' divorce details on new album
Blake Shelton's new album won't reveal "juicy" details about his divorce from Miranda Lambert.
The country crooner is adamant his forthcoming release 'If I'm Honest' won't reference his highly-publicised split from the blonde beauty last year but the tracks have been inspired by the emotions he was going through at that difficult time.
Speaking on 'CMT After MidNite', he explained: "It's not like there's all these juicy details [in the record], but [country music] lends itself to emotions and things that you go through when you go through a divorce and, more so, the getting over that and moving on and finding someone else."
But, despite the anguish portrayed on the record, the 39-year-old singer is so pleased with how the album has turned out.
He said: "The last year and a half of my life has literally blown up in my face. That's OK because I'm a country singer, and I at least get to take all that and put it into music..."
Meanwhile, Blake's new girlfriend Gwen Stefani, whom he has been dating since late last year, has taken a different approach to her divorce from Gavin Rossdale.
The 'No Doubt' singer - who has three sons, Kingston, nine, Zuma, seven, and Apollo, two, with her ex-husband - turned to songwriting to help her get through her split.
She said recently: "You just crumble, you know? I was down - I was all the way down. And I just felt like, 'God, I gotta turn this around. I can't go down like this. I have to know that this is happening for a reason.' And I had to turn to music."
