Ant and Dec tip Nick Grimshaw for BRITs

Ant and Dec want Nick Grimshaw to be the next host of the BRIT Awards.

The presenting duo will be fronting tomorrow's (24.02.16) ceremony for the second year in a row, but insist there is no chance of them presiding over the 2016 awards, and think the BBC Radio 1 DJ would make a great replacement.

Ant said: "Nick would do a really good job. He talks to music guests all the time and he is mates with them.

"He would be really good at it."

The pair initially planned not to host this year's BRITs - which are sponsored by MasterCard - but knew they couldn't turn it down when they saw the line-up of performers.

Ant said: "We said last year we would do it again one final time because we did really enjoy it.

"When we heard Coldplay, Adele and Justin Bieber would be performing we thought, 'You can't really say no to that.' They twisted our arm."

Rihanna - who pulled out of performing at last year's BRITs - is also due to take to the stage at London's The O2 tomorrow and though she axed her Grammy's appearance at the last minute, Ant and Dec are confident she'll make it.

Ant said: "Rihanna's plane has touched down so we are fairly certain she will be performing.

"She didn't even get on it last year, so at least she is physically in the country."
