Anna Kendrick didn't have 'a backup plan'
Anna Kendrick never had "a backup plan."
The 30-year-old actress admits she has no idea what she would be doing if she hadn't carved out a successful career in Hollywood because she never even thought about getting another job.
She said: "I got some terrible advice when I was really young, which was not to have a backup plan. I had this singularity of focus. I never considered doing something else."
Meanwhile, the brunette beauty credits her 'Into The Woods' co-star James Corden for reminding her to make the most of every opportunity and to enjoy living in the moment.
She told the September issue of Elle magazine: "When I was getting ready to perform at the Oscars, I ran into James Corden and I told him how nervous I was and he said, 'you have to enjoy yourself because the 13-year-old you would punch yourself if you didn't.' I try to keep that in mind."
But the 'Pitch Perfect' star recently admitted she wants to take a six month break from acting.
She said: "It's hard to take a step back and see if there's something I should be doing differently.
"At some point I'll have to take a good six months off and not make movies.
"But working for 14 hours a day for months at a time is not sustainable.
"Not being on a set means you can explore the world and enrich your life. It'd probably be wise to invest in those things."
