Amy Adams' low self-esteem

Amy Adams felt self-conscious after seeing Henry Cavill shirtless.

The 41-year-old actress stars opposite Henry in 'Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice' and admits she felt incredibly insecure after the pair both had to strip off for a scene in the bathroom.

She told Good Morning America: "I don't know why him shirtless makes me have low self-esteem but that's exactly what it did.

"It was like two weeks of working out. I was like, 'Wait. I'm never going to keep up with Henry.' But I tried."

Filming for the action movie also had physical effects on the actress, as she previously revealed she suffered from "swimmer's ear" when she shot the gruelling underwater scenes for the superhero movie.

She shared: "I got swimmer's ear! I really got two, I got double ear infection! From all the underwater scenes. They give you these drops and they tell you to put them in your ear. And I was like, 'I'll be fine'. Then I didn't do it, and yeah I got it. So it was my own pride and stupidity!"

Whilst co-star Henry quipped: "I got super frustrated [during filming] so I kept on dunking her."
