Adam Levine hit by sugar bomb
Adam Levine has been attacked with a sugar bomb.
The Maroon 5 frontman was hit in the face with the white powdery foodstuff by an unidentified man as he greeted fans outside 'Jimmy Kimmel Live' in Hollywood yesterday (06.05.15).
One half of Adam's face and his clothing was left covered in sugar as he was quickly escorted away by security and his attacker was apprehended and arrested for battery, reports TMZ.
While there is speculation that Adam, 36, may have been in on the prank, staged for the Jimmy Kimmel fronted show, he appeared visibly shocked after being pelted with the bomb.
The star - whose latest single 'Sugar' has topped global charts - was joined in meeting his fans by his model wife Behati Prinsloo, who looked equally surprised that her spouse had been hit with the food.
The stunt also sparked a mixed reaction on Twitter after eye witnesses took to the site to inform users they had seen the singer get "flour-bombed".
Many users sided with the prankster and labelled the attack "funny", with another even describing him as "my hero".
One user wrote: "Witnessed Adam Levine get Flour bombed tonight it was so crazy."
Another said: "idk why someone poured powdered sugar on adam levine but it's funny."
While one admirer wrote: "whoever poured powdered sugar on adam levine is my hero. (sic)"
Meanwhile, the prankster is said to be the same man who is reported to have thrown a rock at Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson last week and was promptly arrested.
