Zandra Rhodes' pretty in pink collection
Zandra Rhodes channelled her pink hair through her Spring/Summer 16 line.
Zandra kicked off London Fashion Week in a flurry of pink hues, with models storming the designer's presentation in pretty prints, floaty skirts and dresses.
The pinks were infused with white, which only added to the candy floss feel. One girl got fashion fans longing for summer in a loose white calf-length skirt, with oversized pink leafs printed all over. Teamed with a pink sleeveless top, pink and white sneaker shoes gave it a relaxed look. A pink fuchsia with Zandra Rhodes emblazoned on it, sunglasses and face gems finished the look.
The pink visors were the show's staple, with models adding the accessory to their feminine looks, giving a slight edge to the prettiness.
Despite a career spanning more than 50 years, Zandra still felt the nerves at going first.
"It's a bit scary. I've not done a presentation in years," she confessed, reports Vogue UK.
In the audience of fashion lovers sat her friends including collaborator and jeweller Andrew Logan.
Next to show was J.JS Lee. Helmed by Korean designer Jackie Lee, the runway was full of clean cuts and simple silhouettes. There were also flowing designs, in both colourful and more muted tones.
The classic pieces included an oversized waistcoat worn with matching cream trousers, which had a slight flair that let them move with fluidity as the model walked the catwalk. A green and white striped dress wowed, with the structured shirt morphing into a flowing skirt.
Later today Eudon Choi, Jean-Pierre Braganza and John Smedley will all showcase. J.W. Anderson, House of Holland and Versus are just three of the names preparing for shows this weekend.
