Upton: Everyone has insecurities

Kate Upton often "fantasises" about quitting social media.

The 22-year-old model is a firm presence online, with over two million fans soaking up her every move on Instagram, Twitter and Facebook.

Last year she was among the group of A-list females who had intimate photos of themselves leaked on the internet, which has made Kate question her use of various online platforms.

“It was very difficult. It’s an invasion of my privacy and it’s not OK. It’s illegal. People don’t have a right to look at those photos or judge them," she sighed to ES Magazine.

“I fantasise about deleting my social media accounts. But I can’t.”

Kate's curvaceous figure rose to prominence after a video of her dancing at a basketball game in 2011 went viral. That year she landed a spot in the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue and she's since graced the cover of the publication several times.

Her body may be the envy of women around the globe, but that's not to say Kate doesn't have her hang-ups.

“Every person has insecurities. But this is the body I was given, I appreciate it and I try to take care of it every day as best I can, but I always enjoy my life," she explained. "So I’m not going to let my insecurities stop me from enjoying life.

"I always am [body shy]."

She puts in a lot of work to maintain her appearance, tucking into superfoods such as quinoa and almonds on a daily basis.

It's also about exercise though, as she does sometimes treat herself to fried goods.

“For me it’s about being strong, having the strength to work ten-hour days, and eating healthily," she added.
