Tyson Beckford: Where's my Beyoncé?

Model Tyson Beckford is on the hunt for his "Beyoncé".

The fashion star-and-actor shouldn't have any trouble with the ladies thanks to his chiselled looks, but he insists it's not as easy as it sounds. And he could complicate things even further, as the 44-year-old is aiming high.

“I have been single for seven months, and it is really hard out here,” he sighed at a Ralph Lauren party for Athlete Ally, according to New York Post's Page Six. “All the girls I want are taken. I am looking for my Beyoncé, my Rihanna.”

Tyson has a son from a previous relationship with celebrity stylist April Roomet and dated model Shanina Shaik on and off before splitting for good in June (15). He hopes the next woman he meets will be ready to take on the world with him.

“I broke up with a girl in April, so I want to give myself time," he explained. "I do not want to rush into anything. I am trying to build an empire, so I need a queen. I need a Cookie (character in TV show Empire)."

But maybe Tyson needs to play down his confidence just a little if he wants to get lucky with the ladies. In 2012 he gave an interview to the London Evening Standard newspaper, suggesting he was the reason for model Shanina's success.

"When I found her she was a regular girl," he said. "I helped place her with the right people, get her teeth cleaned, her body toned up.

"Everything changed and now everyone wants a piece of her. I hear people say, 'You can do better than Tyson.' I’m like, 'Really? Really?! I created her!'?"
