Tyson Beckford's Rag & Bone romance
Tyson Beckford is a huge fan of Rag & Bone.
The US model is one of the ambassadors for the inaugural New York Fashion Week: Men's, which is currently in full swing and is taking his duties seriously.
Rag & Bone presented its Spring 16 men's showcase earlier this week, with clean cuts shown off to perfection by parkour athletes who jumped off buildings in the designs.
"I love Rag & Bone, and to be the ambassador for the week, you need to show your face and support for the brands. You’ll see me every day," Tyson smiled to the style section of The Hollywood Reporter. "In September, it’ll be 23 years that I’ve been in fashion. Once a model, always a model. I’ll always be one and feel like one."
Big brands like Michael Kors, Tommy Hilfiger and Calvin Klein Collection have already shown, with Polo Ralph Lauren and John Varvatos presenting today.
Rag & Bone's co-creator David Neville thinks the fashion event is a boost to the Big Apple.
"It's particularly great for emerging designers to be given a platform to showcase their brands and collections.
"It’s been quite a long time coming, and the city is ready for it," he added.
David helms the popular label with Marcus Wainwright and revealed their British upbringing often inspires their designs.
"We’re really excited about the way that we’re expressing our menswear proposition at the moment. It’s always built on the real pillars of the brand, which are military, sporty tailoring in an urban context. We’ve been quite instinctual and brought with us the references that we grew up with in England and infused that with the energy and inspiration of New York City," he explained.
