Taraji Henson has collaborated with M.A.C Cosmetics on a new make-up range.

The 43-year-old American actress has announced she has joined forces with the popular cosmetic brand on an eponymous beauty capsule, which features six exclusive products.

The 'Empire' actress - who plays Cookie Lyon in the American drama - shared the news on social media with a picture from her campaign, which sees her adorn a pillar-box red ensemble and bronze make-up.

The brunette beauty captioned the post: "So excited to share this! My @MACcosmetics collection is coming! Online & at select stores in Sept. #MACTaraji #VirgoSeason (sic)."

And the company have shared the news on their social media site and are "thrilled" to have Taraji front the upcoming campaign and partner with them on the forthcoming beauty capsule.

They said: "Taraji P. Henson has won the world over with her fearless performances, powerhouse confidence and charismatic spark. We're thrilled to announce she is joining forces with M.A.C for an upcoming collaboration! Coming in September, to select markets.#MACTaraji (sic)."

The M.A.C x Taraji P. Henson collection will include a warm bronzer, highlighter, a '90s inspired beige matte lipstick, mascara, liquid eyeliner and a make-up brush, which was inspired by Taraji's "charismatic spark".

Taraji's make-up line is set to hit select stores around the globe on September 6.

Meanwhile, Taraji has revealed she is a "health w***e" and is obsessed with having nourishing hair and skin, which sees her smother her body in shea butter to keep her moisturised all day long.

Speaking previously about her beauty hacks, she said: "I wash my face in the morning and at night. I drink a lot of water. You have to stay hydrated. As far as my hair ... I wrap my hair at night because that's less heat on it every day. I'm a health w***e, for lack of a better word. I love healthy hair. I love healthy skin. I love skin that glows. That's why I love shea butter, because I put it on and I feel like, when I go home and I go to bed I take my clothes off, I feel like I've just put lotion on. And I only put it on once a day. I use the cream for my feet and I put socks on at night."
