Swarovski unveils star-studded Brilliant Inspiration campaign
Swarovski’s new campaign reflects the "endless inspiration" crystals provide.
The luxury brand has unveiled its new fall 16 advertisements, called Brilliant Inspiration, which not only promotes its stunning cut glass but also big names from the world of design, style and art.
Karlie Kloss, who was announced as Swarovski’s new brand ambassador in May (16), is one of the stars featured, and poses in a custom bodysuit covered in crystals and wears rings by Atelier Swarovski.
Trey Laird, chief executive officer and chief creative officer of creative agency Laird + Partners, developed the campaign, telling WWD: “We wanted to capture the endless inspiration Swarovski crystals provide for creative forces. (Each of the people in the ads) bring the spirit of the brand to life and help convey the possibilities that can be created with Swarovski.”
Other famous faces featured include; Greek fashion designer Mary Katrantzou, who holds a green embroidered garment against her; shoe expert Charlotte Dellal, seen rocking a pair of black bunny ears, white cuffs and a bowtie with precious stones sprinkled in front of her; and Jason Wu, who poses in a black velvet piece covered in colourful jewels.
“(The campaign) a fantastic visual representation of Swarovski’s symbiotic relationships with the world’s top talents,” Markus Langes-Swarovski, a member of the executive and advisory board of Swarovski, added.
The photos will appear in the September issues of U.S. magazines and international publications from next Monday (15Aug16).
Meanwhile, the company has been sharing photos of model Karlie wearing its crystals on Instagram. One picture sees the blonde beauty rocking a grey, sequined blazer with a watch and bracelet around her wrist, and a necklace on, as a handsome male rests his arm over her shoulder.
“Blazer 101 with @karliekloss. Add a bit of romance to your look this fall with the #Swarovski Crystalline Oval watch & spiraling Crystaldust,” the caption reads.
