Suki revels in Redken appointment

Suki Waterhouse is working with the "best people" at Redken.

The British model was last night unveiled as the hair giant's new Global Brand Muse, and she's over the moon at the appointment.

"I've definitely grown up with Redken. It's an iconic brand and a staple in every hairdresser's kit. Getting the contract was one of those big moments, like, 'Wow, I'm working with a truly iconic brand.' It's a complete honour. I get to work with the best people and I feel like it's time to go on a really new, exciting hair journey!" Suki gushed to Teen Vogue.

"The most exciting thing is that Redken is open to collaborating. It's not just being a model on set. They are open to your ideas and experiment with you."

The catwalk favourite is known for her blonde locks and has worn them in an array of styles over the years, including rocking loose waves at Glastonbury festival last month.

However her hair hasn't always been her crowning glory and the 23-year-old isn't immune to a bad hair day every now and then.

"When it gets really, really terrible, I just call my stylist and book a blow dry. I have to say, going and getting a blow dry from a professional is like God's greatest gift. Some people like to drink or do other things, and some people blow dry! You feel like a whole new person," she laughed.

Counting the likes of Janis Joplin and Patti Smith among her beauty idols for their wild and untamed hair, Suki also admires the locks of her friends, and fellow models, Cara Delevingne and Georgia May Jagger.
