Sean O'Pry takes a 'step back from social media'

Sean O'Pry has stopped Googling himself and "taken a step back from social media".

The 26-year-old American model made the decision to be less self-obsessed online in a bid to escape the pressures of his career and so far he has enjoyed the change in his Internet habits.

He also now has more time for his hobbies which include playing the guitar and piano.

In an interview with Prestige Hong Kong magazine (Prestigehongkong.com), he revealed: "I stopped that (Googling myself) a long time ago. You just read things that you don't like reading. Some things I'd see I didn't enjoy, and I thought the best way to not see those things any more was to stop looking. And it's worked.

"(On social media) I like taking pictures of scenery and things I like, but I guess I now feel more pressure to post things that are my private life. And I've always been very private, so I've taken a step back from social media as of recently ... I feel like I'm a creative person. I draw, I play instruments - I play guitar, a bit of harmonica and I just started learning to play piano. It just gives me a moment of clarity and almost silence in all the craziness."

Sean has appeared in advertising campaigns for some of the world's most prestigious fashion houses, such as Giorgio Armani, Versace, Viktor & Rolf and Kenzo, as well as for high street brands like H&M, Zara and Gap.

Although the hunk is loving his life as a model and has started trying his hand at acting he thinks there will be a point in the future where he leaves the fame game behind.

He said: "Fame is a weird beast, a very weird beast, and I have a very, very small taste of it. Other people have it much worse than me. One day I'll take a step back from it, but I'm just not sure when that will happen."
