Rosie Huntington-Whiteley talks jewellery as she joins forces with Nirav Modi

Rosie Huntington-Whiteley’s work with jewellery company Nirav Modi brings back childhood memories for the model.

British fashion star Rosie is the new face of the haute jewellery brand, along with Indian actress Lisa Haydon and Romanian model Andreea Diaconu.

Being able to wear such exquisite jewels has been a special experience for the 29-year-old.

"I grew up in Devon and my mum used to work in a local jewellery shop down there," she recalled to www.theweek.co.uk. "She would bring home these beautiful catalogues and books from Sotheby's, showing all the pieces going to auction. We used to marvel over the jewellery. It was something very 'mother-daughter'. To be here today, wearing such stunning stuff - such stunning jewellery, well, I have to remember those little things from my childhood."

Rosie has been a part of the fashion scene since 2003, and over the last 13 years has posed for everyone from Victoria’s Secret to Burberry. She’s also a regular on the catwalk, and cemented her A-list status in January (16), when she revealed she is engaged to actor Jason Statham.

However when it comes to dishing on her other half, Rosie keeps quiet.

"My private life is, frankly, the most sacred and important thing to me," she stated. "In the end, that's all that matters - it's something I like to keep close to my heart. I suppose it's quite selfish.”

She was happy to share her biggest life lesson though, divulging that keeping positive gets her through most situations.

"By that, I also mean putting positive energy into everyone you meet and making people you meet feel good because that's what they remember. It's how you make people feel,” she smiled.
