Rosie Huntington-Whiteley adores Ugg boots
Rosie Huntington-Whiteley is the face of Ugg Australia's next campaign.
The British model, who has worked with brands including Victoria’s Secret, Burberry and Paige Denim, has partnered with the footwear company as a global ambassador and will front its fall promotions.
While the blonde beauty is best known for her lingerie modelling, the 28-year-old hopes the new advertisements will allow her to reveal her outdoorsy side.
“I’ve always owned a pair of Ugg boots,” she told WWD. “They’re something I’ve had when I’m heading home. I grew up in a farm in the U.K. In the countryside, I’ll always have a pair with me. They’re part of my active and adventurous lifestyle."
Ugg Australia was founded in California in 1978 and is best known for its sheepskin boots. In the new campaign, Rosie will be modelling the Classic II boot, which will launch in August (16).
Rosie, who is engaged to actor Jason Statham, added she also likes to wear her Ugg boots when walking her pet dogs on the beach in winter and always has a pair packed in the back of her car when travelling in California.
"I put my feet in a pair literally every morning. They are snuggle shoes that I wear around the house," she shared.
Ugg Australia's Alice Hampton said Rosie was a natural fit for the brand as she can convey the new street-style features and benefits of the boots to an on-the-go audience.
"I think the biggest insight is that it will be showcased in a very attainable and fun way as Rosie’s warmth and effervescent personality is a key component to the creative," she said.
Rosie is in high demand for campaigns and earlier this year (16) she expanded her venture with British company Marks & Spencer to include a beauty range.
