Rosie H-W: Set me free!

Rosie H-W: Set me free!

Rosie Huntington-Whiteley wants to be "freer" this year.

Looking at the 28-year-old's stunning appearance, you'd be tricked into thinking she has no hang-ups. But in reality, Rosie has moments of doubt.

She's got a varied résumé under her belt, previously landing jobs for Victoria's Secret and Burberry, and is happy to take on board any criticism during her career.

“I don’t want to surround myself with people who are always telling me, ‘You’re so great.' I want people around me who know that whether they’re saying something good or bad to me, it penetrates," she told Self magazine.

“When you’re renowned for your physicality, people - not just men - tend to think you couldn’t possibly be smart or funny. I like to think I have a little bit of personality. But I can be shy and nervous to expose myself. This year, I want to be a little freer, not so confounded by what I’m going to say. Most people have lower expectations of me, which is sort of fantastic. Because then the only way to go is up, right?”

Add designer - she has a range for British retailer Marks & Spencer - and actress to her accomplishments, and you could easily dub Rosie a Jack of all trades.

Her latest acting project is Mad Max: Fury Road, and her physical fitness was called upon during production.

"You have to be fit and healthy and strong,” she added. “Your mind has to be strong, too. Not only for the stunts but also for the number of hours you’re spending on set.

“I never set out to be an actress. I’m always open if something great comes along, but it’s not where I see my long-term future.”
