Rita Ora feels a 'real moment of self-achievement' after seeing her Adidas range in store
Rita Ora felt a "real moment of self-achievement" when she saw her Adidas footwear collection in store.
The 25-year-old singer songwriter - who collaborated with the sportswear giant in 2014 - has admitted although she "hated" visiting her former workplace in London's Portobello Road, where she worked at the age of 16, she felt overwhelmed with pride at seeing her fashion range in store.
Speaking to PAPER magazine about the moment, Rita - who has recently launched a 15th collection for the brand called Colour Paint Pack, which allows buyers to personally customise the item, said: "Recently I went into the sneaker store that I used to work in, which I hated. It was like hell on earth, though I loved the people I worked with. But I went in and saw my sneaker on the shelf, and it was crazy. It was a real moment of self-achievement for me."
And the 'I Will Never Let You Down' hitmaker - who recently joined forces with the Italian lingerie brand Tezenis - has admitted she designed "soft cups bras" for her underwear collection, which will hit the store next month, because she doesn't like underwire bras.
She explained: "There are some soft cup bras in there because I don't like underwire."
And Rita has revealed her mother, Vera Sahatçiu, has always been her fashion muse because she is "all about glamour".
The 'Gone Girl' star said: "It all started with my mom's wardrobe.
"She's very extravagant, and she thinks she's a star in her own right. She's all about glamour -- she's extremely sleek and stylish. She had these flowing dresses and suit pants with a white, crisp shirt and always wore Chanel No. 5 perfume. When I got older, I started to kind of explore and do research, collecting magazines and making collages of things. But I shared a room with my sister who wasn't really interested in all that stuff, so it was trying to shove everything into one corner."
Although Rita admires her parent's uber feminine style, she has admitted she would prefer to dress "like a dude".
She explained: "If I could dress like a dude every day I would.
"But I love beauty. I like being beautiful, but I like doing it in my way. I think that's what's important."
