Ralph & Russo: We cater to all ages

Ralph & Russo think couture childrenswear is important.

Tamara Ralph and her fiancé Michael Russo run the label, which has produced stunning gowns for the likes of Olga Kurylenko and Eva Herzigová.

While it might seem like a privilege for the rich and famous, the label actually has some surprising clients, 800 of which are for their couture pieces.

"The youngest [couture client] is three months old; we have a two year old - childrenswear is important - and the oldest is 80," Tamara revealed to Hello! Fashion.

Michael admits he's surprised there are people who are able to spend £100,000 plus on one dress, but reasons the time and effort that goes into the pieces makes it worth it.

With such sought-after, one-off pieces, it's no surprise celebrities clamour to get their hands on them.

"The competition is intense. Some clients text their favourites to us during the show. They all went first pick," Tamara admitted.

Michael added: "We have a policy of one piece exclusively to each country. The look book resembles a geographical map with a flag of each country pinned against the purchased look. We look after our loyal customers."

One person who doesn't need to worry about scoring an original Ralph & Russo is Tamara herself. She'll be designing her wedding dress, which she'll wear when she marries Michael this year.

"I'm going to make three dresses, as Michael will be in the atelier and will see them," she smiled, revealing he won't know which one she'll pick until the day.
