Rachel Zoe's beauty for mums-to-be
Rachel Zoe has given her top tips for pregnancy beauty products.
The Hollywood stylist has two sons with her husband Rodger Berman - Skyler, four, and 15-month-old Kaius. When she's expecting, the star changes her make-up and skincare regime because she can't help thinking intently about what's going into her body.
"When I’m pregnant, I only use all-natural and organic products. I even eat that way. When I’m not pregnant, I’m not quite as particular," she told The Hollywood Reporter.
Tarte is one of the brands the 43-year-old opts for, citing its make-up as her go to. She likes moisturiser by Arcona and also uses a face and body oil by Tata Harper. Jessica Alba will be pleased to hear her company's products are also a hit with Rachel, who uses The Honest Co. Healing and Belly Balm. She keeps her lips in tip-top shape with a balm by Burt's Bees and goes for Fresh products for her shower and bath care.
And those aren't just second-rate pregnancy options for when Rachel can't use her go-tos; she liked them all so much that they have now made it on to her regular beauty shelf.
Fans of the stylist will have seen her struggling to decide when to have children on her TV show The Rachel Zoe Project. Now she's a mother everything has changed, and that's even infiltrating her clothing collection.
Rachel has come up with a maternity collection in association with A Pea in The Pod. It features easy-to-wear maxi dresses and tunics, with the star explaining it was important to her to still look like herself when she was expecting. That meant she didn't drastically rethink her wardrobe, rather she found new versions of her favourites to adapt to her changing figure.
The stylist has spoken about how parenthood has made her happy in a way she didn't know existed in the past. She loves seeing her sons playing together, but is also determined not to lose all of her old personality - as was obvious when she announced her maternity collection.
"As a mother of two young boys, I understand how important it is to look and feel your best while you’re expecting and to never sacrifice style for comfort," she said in January.
