Paula Cademartori's natural evolution

Paula Cademartori wants her brand to become an expression of a lifestyle.

The Brazilian designer is synonymous with handbags, with her creations constantly cropping up in street-style pictures snapped at various Fashion Weeks.

She's also a favourite among fellow style stars, with Anna Dello Russo and America's Next Top Model star Bryanboy both fans.

Paula is now adding footwear to her accessory offerings.

"I’ve always been in love with shoes! This is the start of a natural evolution, both in terms of style and of business strategy, and comes at a particular significant time for the brand. I want my brand to become an expression of a lifestyle," she smiled to Hunger magazine.

"My shoe collection is designed to give a touch of femininity, colour and sensuality to every woman, just like my bags."

As with her bags, Paula's shoes pop with colour. They come in a variety of hues; from silver boots to a heeled sandal featuring red, pink, purple and black stripes.

Paula cites her heritage as the reason she's such a fan of bright shades.

"My Brazilian side is surely reflected in the way I play with colours and materials – I love to create new and exciting colour combinations. Even in my winter collections you’ll always find bright colours and unexpected patterns," she explained.

This isn't the first time the designer has tried her hand at shoes. Her first project for the Vogue Talents in 2009 was completely focused on footwear, and she's relishing the chance to indulge her passion again.
