Moschino teaming with Sephora on cosmetics line
Moschino is collaborating with Sephora on a new cosmetics line.
The Italian luxury fashion house, helmed by designer Jeremy Scott, is known for its irreverent and quirky clothes, shoes, handbags and accessories.
Moschino is now teaming with the French beauty retailer on its first-ever beauty collection, which will comprise of seven products, with Scott explaining that the range has been created with the younger demographic in mind.
"I’ve wanted that since day one," he told Elle Canada. "I learned very early on how much young people love my work, and sometimes they don’t have the means to get it. This is another way for me to do Moschino and not sacrifice quality. It’s a lot more accessible. I love to be able to put my arms around more people and have them be a part of the Moschino family in some capacity.”
The collection includes a colourful eyeshadow palette which comes packaged in a teddy bear-shaped container, and a matching blush. There’s also a bear-shaped pendant which contains a lip gloss, a trio of lip colours in red, hot pink and coral, as well as an eyeshadow range in a handbag-style box.
Scott has added in a set of five make-up brushes with shiny gold handles too, and hopes the whole range will inspire people to experiment with cosmetics.
"I just love the power of make-up and the way it can transform your mood," he added. "I think that’s such a beautiful thing."
Moschino has found success with its fragrance lines, including popular scents such as Cheap and Chic and Moschino Fresh.
The Moschino x Sephora Collection will be priced from $20 (£15) and is slated to hit shelves in August.
