Michael Kors: NYC is everything to me
Michael Kors rates New York as the ultimate city.
The designer is based in the Big Apple, and the influence of the city can often be seen in his work. Model Jessica Hart hit the streets of New York to show off some of the hottest pieces from Michael's jewellery and watch collection.
"(New York) is the ultimate city for me," Michael gushed to Vogue Australia. "The diversity, the food, the culture, the architecture, the energy, the constant change at its core make it truly one of the most inspiring places on the planet”.
For New York Moments: Michael Kors' guide to navigating the Big Apple, Jessica posed outside some of Michael's favourite spots.
One shot sees her by the High Line, a linear park in Manhattan, where Jessica clutches a red Michael Kors bag while showing off a bold silver and gold watch, with a buckle-design silver cuff.
In Bemelmans Bar, a New York hotspot, Jessica vamps it up in a black tuxedo jacket, wearing nothing underneath. She adds to the glamour with rings and bracelets from the fashion house, finishing with a gold watch.
Outside the Michael Kors Collection Boutique, she hails a yellow cab, wearing the buckle cuff, silver watch and a bangle.
When it comes to his top tips for a woman's wardrobe, Michael says the female form can't go wrong with a tailored suit.
"Update your wardrobe with a suit," he advised InStyle Australia. “The word suit for women is like, ‘A suit? I don’t own a suit. I wear a dress or I wear sportswear.’ I think the whole idea of a feminine suit, something that is shaped, curvy... there’s something about the return to tailoring."
