Marc Jacobs growing make-up range
Marc Jacobs is expanding its cosmetics line.
The designer first headed into beauty two years ago and now he's getting ready to make an even bigger mark on the industry.
Among the new offerings, which will hit in August, is a "breakthrough" foundation, according to WWD.
Re(marc)able Full Cover Foundation Concentrate comes in 22 shades and will retail at $55.
The special formula is packed with jojoba, sunflower, acacia and mimosa extracts. It's an oil-free product with biomimetic pigments, making the foundation seven times lighter than traditional versions.
“We wanted to find a formulation that the industry hadn’t seen before,” Catherine Gore, global vice president and general manager of Marc Jacobs Beauty and Elizabeth and James Fragrances, explained to the website.
“They provide incredible bend-ability, while patented golden mica delivers superior radiance to all skin tones."
There will also be a primer and a foundation brush in the newly expanded Marc Jacobs Beauty range.
Under(cover) Perfecting Coconut Face Primer will retail at $44 and promises to create a perfectly smooth skin surface for make-up application.
“It is formulated with five forms of young coconut that create a natural, vitamin-rich barrier between your skin and make-up,” Catherine revealed. “This formula duplicates the effect of synthetic priming ingredients and allows the skin to breathe without compromising the skin-perfecting benefits. It is available in the universal shade of invisible.”
The brush is designed to be used with the foundation and was made to sweep perfectly across the curves of the skin.
There will also be a new shade of the Magic Marc’er eyeliner, cocoa-lacquer, a deep chocolate colour.
From August, fans can buy the new products in Marc Jacobs stores and Sephora.
