Marc Jacobs' designs to feature in Off Book video series
Marc Jacobs has collaborated with IMG Models' Made to Measure (M2M) on the latest Off Book episodes.
Fashion video network Made to Measure covers many areas of the fashion and style industry, from documentaries, runway shows and classic fashion films. Video series Off Book features models reading pieces from literature, music and film and, for the new second season, Jacobs' brand will be fully integrated into the venture.
Eight fashion stars will feature over 10 episodes, all wearing ready-to-wear, pre-fall and accessories by the designer, currently available to purchase in stores and online. Peyton Knight, Ajak Deng, Issa Lish, Alek Wek, Molly Bair, Marjan Jonkman, Cat McNeil and Angel Rutledge are involved this time round, reading out passages from The Fran Lebowitz Reader - a collection of comedic essays by writer Fran. The first episode is to premiere on Tuesday (12Jul16), after which there will be two to three episodes per week. Fans can watch on iPads, iPhones, Android TV and Xbox among others.
Jacobs' Fall 16 line was gothically glamorous, with extravagant pieces such as a PVC skirt with flower cut-outs, a grey pea coat with faux fur sleeves and a long silver dress with long sleeves and metallic embellishments on the shoulders and hips.
M2M was launched last October (16), with IMG/WME chief content officer Mark Shapiro sharing his excitement at the new project at the time.
“M2M will showcase fashion from all angles,” he said in a statement. “There are so many incredible stories to tell in this industry, but premium video programming that’s authentic, modern, and thought-provoking is still difficult to find. We’re excited to use our unique access across WME/IMG to give everyone who loves fashion the opportunity to explore the industry from the inside out.”
