Maggie Rizer quit Trump Models before election results

Model Maggie Rizer quit Trump Models two days before Donald Trump was elected as the 45th President of the United States.

Republican Trump’s victory over his Democratic rival Hillary Clinton shocked many when it was announced on Wednesday morning (09Nov16), with countless high-profile celebrities, like Beyonce, Jay Z and Miley Cyrus, all publicly backing Clinton for the job.

Maggie, 38, was another avid supporter of the former First Lady, and in the days leading up to the election took drastic action when it came to her affiliation with Trump.

“Today I had to do a hard thing parting ways with my agent at Trump Models,” Maggie posted on Instagram alongside a black and white headshot of herself. “Corinne is a great agent and a close friend who has guided and supported me as I transitioned to becoming a working mom.

“That said, as a woman, a mother, an American and a human being, I cannot wake up Wednesday morning being the least bit related to the Trump brand; win or lose. I owe it to myself and to my children to proudly stand up for what I believe in and that is a world where Donald Trump has no voice for the future of our country. #RockTheVote #GodBlessTheUSA #ImWithHer.”

Maggie also uploaded a photo of herself at a polling station, telling her followers “it’s a good day to be an American”.

The model, who has walked for most of the world’s top fashion houses including Fendi, Miu Miu and Gucci, is yet to comment on the presidential outcome.
