Louis Vuitton goes luxe at PFW

Louis Vuitton went luxurious for its Autumn/Winter 15 collection in Paris this morning.

The French fashion house kicked off the final day of the bi-annual Fashion Week with a catwalk full of faux fur, silk and glamorous tweed, in a range catering to all types of women.

For those who will be wrapping up in the colder weather, there was a cosy, oversized leopard-print fur jacket with exaggerated pockets. Ladies after something a little more understated could go for something less brash, such as a shabby-chic grey woollen coat with buckles to fasten.

It wasn't all heavy cover-ups though, as creative director Nicolas Ghesquière also inserted some lighter pieces perfect for a shopping trip or casual office wear. These came in the form of tailored cotton trousers in colours such as navy, ivory and beige and matching suit jackets, along with simple tees and long-sleeved polo necks with slits across the chest.

Skirts were heavily featured too, and stood out with their distinct finishes. There were leather minis and midis, black-and-metallic tweed versions and some which boasted feminine lace patterns.

Things took a glamorous turn towards the end of the show, as items more suitable for an evening out hit the runway. One model wore a striking white dress with billowing shoulders and a high neck, decorated with a black diamond print and paired with black pointy-toed ankle boots and a clutch bag. This print was also available in a long-sleeved blouse.

Another girl shimmered in a silver dress in the same style, which was complete with a splattering of gold and black, worn with cute black-toed pumps with white crossover straps.

To remind the audience which label they were watching, Nicolas also sent some models down the catwalk wearing T-shirts with 'Louis Vuitton' printed on them. And to ensure all eyes were on the clothes, models' make-up simply consisted of black eyeliner, while their hair was worn down and untamed.

Paris Fashion Week ends today, rounding up the Autumn/Winter 15 presentations for the year.
