Lindsay Ellingson creates cosmetics

Lindsay Ellingson is launching a beauty line.

The 30-year-old model has made a name for herself in the fashion industry by working with the likes of DKNY, Tommy Hilfiger and H&M, along with landing countless magazine covers.

She's also put her stamp on the beauty industry having previously been named one of the faces of cosmetics and skincare giant Clarins.

Using her knowledge, Lindsay is set to create a make-up range called Wander Beauty to be sold on QVC.

“I’ve been modelling for ten years,” she explained to WWD. “In that time I’ve picked up so many tips and tricks about how to apply make-up, what works, what doesn’t, colours and formulations. I was absorbing so much information and developed this passion for beauty.”

Lindsay added that Wander Beauty is aimed at the woman who does her make-up on the go and makes sure to have products in her bag for regular touch-ups.

The range will feature an illuminator called On-the-Glow Blush & Highlighter Duo Stick, which will come in two shades - Soft Pink/Nude Glow and Coral Rose/Nude Glow - and is set to be debuted by Lindsay herself on QVC next month.

Beauty expert Divya Gugnani, who runs website Set the Trend which was acquired by QVC, is helping with the venture and wanted to make sure the products appeal to all women.

“Women put their make-up on themselves and this is all about the DIYer," she added.

“We decided that we were really passionate about a multiethnic approach to beauty. When you go to a website right now to buy a shade of lipstick or blush, you see a colour swatch and Lindsay being blonde, me being Indian, we can’t tell what that looks like on our face.”
