Lily Collins' 'bold' beauty move
Lily Collins felt "experimental" when she cut her hair into a pixie crop.
The 'Mirror Mirror' actress has confessed she wanted to be "bold" when she traded her shoulder-length brunette locks for a shorter do and is enjoying her "androgynous" new look.
The pretty star - who debuted her crop cut at the Vanity Fair post-Oscars party last month - said: "Cutting off all your hair is a bold move for a girl, but I've been feeling more experimental lately. I'm ready for a different chapter. When you make a decision that intense, I think it brings the right energy.
"I'm loving that girls can look girly and also a bit masculine without losing their femininity. And my new hair goes well with that!"
The 25-year-old actress - who is the new face of knitwear label Barrie - recently starred in her first campaign for the brand which was shot by Chanel creative director Karl Lagerfeld.
Lily confessed it was an "amazing honour" to be photographed by Karl, 81, in the ads and added she has grown close to the iconic designer after getting to know him during the Chanel's Métiers d'Art show in Dallas, Texas, in 2013.
She told the Daily Telegraph newspaper: "I only really got to know Karl when I attended the Métiers d'Art show in Dallas in 2013.
"We chatted for a while, and he invited me to do the first campaign for Barrie. It's an amazing honour - he's such a visionary, and I'm such a huge fan."
