Lily Aldridge tapped to front Michael Kors' new perfume campaign

Lily Aldridge has been selected to front the campaign for Michael Kors' latest fragrance.

The Victoria’s Secret model is the face Wonderlust, a new scent which features top notes of Italian bergamot and pink pepper, as well as vanilla and sandalwood.

The campaign was shot on a yacht in Greece by Mario Testino, and shows Lily posing in the water in a glamorous gold gown alongside Dutch model Wouter Peelen, who's dressed in a suit.

According to the brand, the imagery was “inspired by the jet set lifestyle... for the woman with an infinite desire for adventure, romance and discovery.”

Lily, who is married to Kings of Leon star Caleb Followill, admits she's "so honoured" to be the face of the perfume, adding, "I love being a Michael Kors woman! This campaign is all about adventure, glamour, and luxury, which is so inspiring. What more could you ask for?"

The 30-year-old has a long history of working with the American fashion house, having first starred in its Spring 2015 advertising campaign and many campaigns for the brand since, such as 2015's Miranda Eyewear Collection and 2016's Jet Set Go campaign.

And she wore a glittering gold Michael Kors gown to the Met Gala in May (16), which she paired with gold accessories and make-up. Lily even had her make-up artist put gold onto her eyebrows, causing her to worry if she was pushing sartorial boundaries to the limit. But thankfully, Michael was a big fan of the bold look.

“It was definitely one of those things where I was super nervous about it. It was a huge risk. It could have been a total fail,” she told PeopleStyle. “It’s important in fashion to take chances, and take risks and play with your beauty routine and think outside the box.”

Wonderlust, which comes in a luminous gold bottle, will launch this month (Aug16).
