Khloe Kardashian feels cuter wearing make-up to the gym

Khloe Kardashian "always" wears jewellery and make-up to the gym.

The 31-year-old 'Kocktails with Khloe' host has admitted she feels bare without a pair of hoop earrings and a made up face when she exercises, because she likes feeling "cuter" when she dresses up for her work out sessions.

Speaking to Shape magazine about her gym attire, the May cover star said: "I always wear hoop earrings; they're like my security blanket. People laugh at me, but why not? They make me feel more dressed up.

"I also wear make-up when I work out. I put on a tinted moisturiser, mascara, and cherry lip balm, and fill in my eyebrows. If I feel cuter with a little lip colour and mascara, why should anybody else care?"

However, the 'Strong Looks Better Naked' author has admitted that her estranged husband Lamar Odom was the catalyst to encourage her to train, although he was also the reason she avoided the gym for a brief spell.

She explained: "When Lamar and I broke up [in 2013], I had all these emotions that I didn't know what to do with. Some people suggested therapy, but instead I joined my local Equinox gym, where I'd get on an elliptical and watch bad reality TV. As a result, I started losing weight.

"When Lamar was in the hospital, I stopped doing the one thing I really needed: exercise. The gym takes all the anxiety away when I'm overwhelmed or stressed out."

The 'Keeping Up with the Kardashians' TV personality has returned to her active lifestyle and undergoes weekly workouts with her sister Kourtney, as well as with her personal trainer Gunnar Peterson.

Meanwhile, Khloe - who has dropped 35 pounds in recent months - has admitted that regardless of her weight loss she has always been happy with her figure in its varying incarnations.

She said: "I love my shape because I've earned every curve. I work hard in the gym to get it. But I also loved my shape before, when I was even curvier."
