Karolina Kurkova's cognitive ball gown

Karolina Kurkova rocked a 'Cognitive' dress at the 2016 Met Gala on Monday night (2May16).

The Czech model teased fans about what to expect from her outfit through her social media accounts in the lead up to the annual event, which had the theme of Manus x Machina.

And when the time finally arrived for her to show off her gown, Karolina didn't disappoint. She wore a design by Marchesa's Georgina Chapman and Keren Craig embedded with IBM Watson technology to enable a partnership between people and computers. Featuring a sheer skirt and thin straps, the dress was adorned with 3D flowers each fitted with LED lights controlled by the internet.

"En route! Please comment on all of my social media accounts b/c my dress will react to your emotions! #cognitivedress#emotionalintelligence #wearabletech#MetGala [email protected]@marchesafashion @ibm (sic)" Karolina wrote on Twitter and Instagram.

Marchesa focused on five emotions expressed on social media; joy, passion, excitement, encouragement and curiosity. When detected, the dress changed colour in real time.

It wasn't just her outfit that turned heads though; Karolina rocked a flawless beauty look too. With metallic eyeshadow, dewy skin and soft pink lipstick, the blonde model was a sight for sore eyes.

"A HUGE thank you [email protected] for making me look and feel beautiful on such a beautiful night! #kkbeauty #MetGala#KKgoestoMetGala #MetGala2015 (sic)" Karolina wrote to cosmetics queen Charlotte Tilbury, alongside a photo of her and the make-up artist.

And after partying the night away at the stylish bash Karolina crashed into her giant bed, her dress still lit up. She shared the sweet moment on Instagram, with her bags lined up in front of her and the flowers on her gown glowing as she lay on top of the duvet.

"And to all a good night... #MetGala #MetGala2016#KKgoestoMetGala (sic)" she captioned the shot.
