Joseph Altuzarra talks Met Gala prep
Joseph Altuzarra is enjoying the "challenge" of getting ready for the Met Gala.
The womenswear designer is a regular attendee at the fashionable event in New York, which takes place on May 4 this year.
Last year he dressed two stars for the occasion, with actress Michelle Monaghan donning a burgundy leather fringed dress and Lea Michele rocking a gold gown.
But Joseph is keeping his lips sealed about who he's working with this time around.
"I'm doing lots of fittings. But that’s also a really fun event and I don’t need to stress out about it. A lot of it is an exciting challenge and exciting process to dress someone - and to dress yourself - and to go," he told style.com.
"No, you have to see. I hadn’t met her before, but she’s very sweet."
Joseph was talking at the Jeffrey Fashion Cares fundraising event earlier this week, where he was joined by other big names in the industry. It's put on to help charity organisations which support LGBT civil rights and is a cause which the style star never fails to get involved with.
"It’s a great energy," he smiled. "I think people love to be here and I just think it’s a very positive event. I don’t love going usually to events like this, but this is one of my favourites."
Narciso Rodriguez was also in attendance, marking his first time at the charitable 'do. For him it was a welcome opportunity to kick back and relax in front of the catwalk rather than rush around behind it.
"I’ve always heard about this great party, so I’m eager to see who's here, and I’m impressed with the turnout and look forward to the fashion show. It’s not often we get to see fashion shows. We’re always putting them on," he added.
