Jimmy Choo taps seven models for 20th anniversary campaign

Jimmy Choo’s 20th anniversary campaign is celebrating women of all ages and backgrounds.

The footwear brand, which was originally launched in 1996 by couture shoe designer Jimmy Choo and Vogue accessories editor Tamara Mellon, has become a celebrity favourite over the last two decades with the likes of Sarah Jessica Parker, Jennifer Lopez and Kim Kardashian all wearing the label’s offerings.

To mark 20 years in the business, the company has tapped seven different models to represent the brand. Amber Valletta, Sasha Pivovarova, Milla Jovovich, Lexi Boling, Taylor Hill, Jasmine Tookes and Xiao Wen Ju all wow in separate shots, posing against a minimal background.

"The fall 2016 campaign is a reflection of the characters who embody the Jimmy Choo brand values both during the past 20 years and into the future," creative director Sandra Choi said in a statement. "It’s a modern vision of our woman and it signals a bold new chapter."

Styled by Sarah Richardson and shot by Craig McDean, the models wear a range of different shoes, from high knee boots to strappy stilettos. Each posed on purple blocks, against a mauve background. The idea behind the shoot was to allow each woman to "command the frame and have an authoritative presence" according to Footwear News.

The campaign will drop in September around the world, with the Jimmy Choo website also running a video to celebrate the new adverts.

The brand has also been busy with its men’s fall 16 campaign, which stars Vinyl actor James Jagger. Again Richardson and McDean were behind the shoot.
