Jessica Hart: I envy Cara D's Insta posts
Jessica Hart is too conscious about what she posts on social media.
The 29-year-old model has embraced the internet with Instagram and Twitter accounts, both boasting tens of thousands of followers. However, that's not to say she's fully comfortable with sharing everything with the world.
“[Social media] has become very political. I envy Cara Delevingne and these other young girls who can just naturally express their personality through these types of channels," she told Harper's Bazaar Australia. "I mean, when I was growing up I was a complete tomboy little rebel sh*thead, but I’m now too old and too conscious about what I’m posting. I’m the person who, if there is a glass of wine in the background, thinks I can’t share it."
Just as she's selective about what she posts online, Jessica is also more picky when it comes to work as she gets older. She views modelling as a young girl's industry and now at nearly 30 she admits she's done with being told what to do on a photoshoot.
The world away from the camera confuses Jessica too, as she feels there's too much pressure on how to act.
“I think it can be really hard to figure out who you are meant to be when you grow up in this industry. You think ‘I’m a model. I’m meant to dress up and go to castings,’ and then you go to a casting and you feel awkward and people can see you are awkward," she sighed. "Then, the minute you stop trying to diet and worry and dress in a certain way and instead think, ‘F**k this, I’m just going to throw on Converse and a T-shirt and jeans’, everyone is like, ‘Oh my god, that’s so cool’, and it’s like ‘Really? This was it the whole time?’"
