Jessica Gomes: I've learned to love myself
Jessica Gomes used to put pressure on herself to look good.
The brunette beauty hails from Down Under and is the latest star to grace the cover of Australian Women's Health magazine. In a chat with the publication, she shared how she came to love her enviable figure.
“I am so happy to say goodbye to my 20s. I used to put a lot of pressure on myself – to be a certain way or get to some goal with my training – and I think relaxing my approach has really helped me," Jessica, who turns 30 later this month, said.
“I’m not into crazy dieting or things that are hard to sustain. It’s important to be honest with yourself and be good to yourself, and in turn you’ll want to be good to your body. You will exercise, you will drink a lot of water, you will eat healthy."
She insists the key to keeping fit and healthy is all about balance and that she doesn't stick solely to green juices and organic food.
Her workouts are also important and the same mantra applies: variety helps.
“I always like to change it up because I do get bored. I just started doing yoga again a week ago. I haven’t done it for a while; I just had the urge to do it. I definitely listen to my body in that way," she added.
"There are some days when I have to shoot lingerie and it's that time of the month and I'm like, ‘Oh my God I feel awful!’ I just say to myself ‘Hey, you’ve got to keep moving,’ and I’ll do as many things as I can to make myself feel good."
Wearing a black-and-white striped bikini top with a crossover on the front, paired with plain black briefs, Jessica looks red hot on the front of the glossy, posing with her hands on her hips.
