Jasmine Tookes is proud to be an example of female empowerment

Jasmine Tookes is glad she can encourage young girls to stand up for what they believe in.

The Victoria’s Secret model has a big online presence with nearly two million followers on Instagram and over 60,000 on Twitter. Through social media Jasmine, 25, gives fans a glimpse into her everyday life, but it isn’t all positivity.

At the end of last year (16) the star was accused of lightening her skin, a claim she quickly denied, and Jasmine isn’t afraid to stand up to anyone causing trouble on the Internet.

"I try not to read the comments,” she told Maxim magazine. “But people are bullied all the time, which I feel strongly about, so if something is out there, I'm going to address it. But really I'm all about women's empowerment and making women feel beautiful and strong. I'm glad I can be someone that young girls can look up to."

The fashionista smoulders in a spread for the publication, posing in topless in one snap wearing just a black leather skirt, before changing into black thigh-high boots, lacy black underwear and an open cropped cardigan for another shot.

Dressing to impress isn’t anything new for Jasmine and although she didn’t confirm her relationship status following rumours she’d split from male model Tobias Sorensen in 2016, Jasmine did divulge details about her love life.

"I think I'm a romantic person,” she smiled to Maxim. “I like to wear lingerie and be sexy but at the same time I'm such a goofball. I like to be out on the town. My perfect date night would be wearing a cute dress, having my makeup done, going out to a Broadway show or something out of the ordinary and over the top."
