J.W. Anderson leads BFA nominations

J.W. Anderson has been nominated in the womenswear designer and menswear designer categories as the 2015 British Fashion Award contenders were announced on Thursday (15Oct15).

In menswear creative director Jonathan Anderson fights competition from E. Tautz and Tom Ford, while Victoria Beckham and Christopher Kane will battle him for the womenswear prize.

Meanwhile Charlotte Olympia, Sophia Webster and Tabitha Simmons face each other in the accessory category, making that particular one an all-female battle.

Christopher Kane, Erdem, Roksanda and Tom Ford have all been recognised for their red-carpet efforts, while Alexander McQueen, Anya Hindmarch, Burberry and Stella McCartney are all up for the brand award.

It's not all about the designers; the models who wear their clothes are also being recognised. Up for the model prize are Georgia May Jagger, Jourdan Dunn and Malaika Firth.

The British Fashion Council also plans to present the BFC outstanding achievement, British style international designer and the Isabella Blow award for fashion creator awards at the ceremony.

The event will be held at the London Coliseum on 23 November and Swarovski and MAC are among the sponsors.
