Irene Kim stars in new fashion short
Model Irene Kim, who appears in a new fashion film short, wants women to see more women experimenting with their appearance.
The Korean-born star, who grew up in Seattle, is the latest face to join a host of other influential ladies from the worlds of fashion, film and culture to feature in a series shown on Mytheresa.com – a leading online store for luxury fashion. Irene’s film will be launched on Wednesday (09Mar16), together with a range of pieces from Stella McCartney’s Spring 16 collection. The charismatic model has urged other females not to be afraid to mix up their look and try something different.
“I want people to enjoy what I put out there and to get inspired,” Irene explained, reports WWD. “If they want rainbow hair, they should do rainbow hair, why not? Just being experimental and being yourself is really what I want to show.”
The Korean It-girl has become a street style sensation thanks to her multi-coloured locks. She has attracted fans all over the world by sharing beauty tutorials online, along with fun behind-the-scenes glimpses from fashion shows. As well being a model, social media star and TV personality, she is also a Global Beauty Contributor for Estee Lauder.
In the new clip, Irene is seen wearing a series of items from Stella’s spring line including a long green-and-blue strapless dress, a white dress, a long red-and-white checked dress and a navy and white dress.
She is the 12th person to appear in the Mytheresa series and follows in the footsteps of big names such as Carine Roitfeld, Victoria Beckham, Diane Kruger, Liv Tyler, Alexa Chung, Brooke Shields, Clemence Poesy and Elisa Sednaoui Dellal.
