Heidi Klum unveils debut line for Lidl

Heidi Klum has unveiled her first fashion line for Lidl.

The 44-year-old model has teamed up with the German discount retailer on Esmara by Heidi Klum: Heidi and the City, a collection full of chic pieces including a leopard print dress, smart blue trousers and an off-white blouse with a black pussy bow.

"I wanted to create fashion with a wow effect that is easy to combine and makes every woman look fantastic - and all at an unbeatable price," Heidi said in a statement about her line, which includes everything from accessories to clothing and is to be priced from $6.99 (£5.30) to $29.99 (£23).

There's even a real leather jacket on offer, coming in at around $60 (£46).

Heidi also shared a behind the scenes video from a photoshoot of her modelling the pieces on Instagram, captioning the clip, "Can't wait to share my #Lidl collection with you all! Fashion with a wow effect at an unbeatable price! #LETSWOW #EsmaraByHeidiKlum #Lidl".

In the footage, the blonde beauty explains that she's always wanted to create her own line and noted that the process is "quite easy" because she already had lots of concepts in her head.

Viewers then get a glimpse at the design studio, with fabrics and sketches scattered around the room.

In another campaign video, titled Heidi Klum #LETSWOW, the supermodel teases what fans can expect from the collection, naming New York as an inspiration behind the pieces. However, she insists the garments can be worn by "any woman, in any town, anywhere in the world".

The collection will debut during New York Fashion Week on 7 September (17) before launching in stores worldwide on 21 September.

Heidi also helms her own underwear and swimwear lines.
