Heidi Klum's wardrobe words of wisdom
Heidi Klum says models who turn up to castings in the wrong clothes stand "no chance".
The German catwalk beauty is certainly the right person to ask for industry advice; she's been in the business since the 90s and regularly passes on her wisdom as mentor on Germany's Next Top Model.
Now she's reflected on the industry's biggest no-gos, not beating around the bush when she tells hopefuls how they'll stand out for all the wrong reasons.
"If you turn up to a casting without your portfolio or wearing inappropriate clothing, or show a lack of personality, then you pretty much have no chance," she candidly told the German edition of Cosmopolitan.
She also had some words of support for anyone who had suffered knock backs. For the 41-year-old, it's all just part and parcel of a tough career choice.
"Rejection just comes with the job," she admitted. "Don't let it get the better of you."
If up-and-coming models are savvy enough to listen to Heidi's advice, they might stand a shot at reaching her levels of success. Not only has she graced some of the biggest magazine covers and designer catwalks, she's now also put her name to a range of lingerie.
It's a chance for the stunning blonde to bring her dream bras to the masses.
“I like low-plunging, not too much push-up. I like to show some skin - less fabric. I do wear low-cut tops. I like to show cleavage,” she recently told WWD.
