Heidi Klum: I love man thongs
Heidi Klum has advised men to take a risk when it comes to their underwear.
The German model has created a range of lads’ under garments called HK Man, which she hopes fills a gap in the market. She’s bored of guys wearing the same old thing, and believes current sales prove there is room for something a little more risqué.
“I like it when there’s a surprise. When they take off their pants, a woman wants to see some colour, not just basic white… the G-strings are selling like hot cakes,” she told WWD.
Heidi also creates lingerie for women, which follows the same kind of path. Although it’s important to her that the pieces are comfortable, she didn’t want them to be pedestrian. So there is mesh used, racer back features and wherever possible she tries to show off some flesh. In fact, this is Heidi’s own take on underwear.
“I like low-plunging, not too much push-up. I like to show some skin — less fabric. I do wear low-cut tops. I like to show cleavage,” she explained.
This isn’t Heidi’s only gig at the moment. She’s still presenting Germany’s Next Top Model and working on America’s Got Talent, but she hasn’t left modelling behind either. She’s the face of Macy’s Inc. brand and has shot a commercial in which she sings a punky version of Happy Birthday, to celebrate the label’s 30th anniversary.
She’s seen in several dresses as well as some sportswear, and in other campaign images she dons things like fake leather trousers and fringed boots. Heidi gets to pick the pieces herself which she loves – almost as much as she does her co-star Gabriel Aubry.
“He’s a lot of fun. He’s not only very handsome, he’s a nice guy to work with,” she giggled.
