Gigi Hadid: How I bust my spots

Gigi Hadid is an advocate of using toothpaste on a pimple.

The 19-year-old model always boasts flawless skin, showing off her clear complexion on both the runway and in campaigns.

Having former fashion star Yolanda Foster as her mother means Gigi got plenty of beauty advice while growing up, one of which she swears by.

"The one beauty tip that I always use that my mom passed down was when I get a pimple, I use toothpaste," she told style.com.

"Yeah [it works], really well! I just put it on [a pimple] at night before I go to sleep. Then I take [a small piece of] toilet paper, get it wet, put it on my finger and press it over the top, and peel [the excess paper off] around my finger. It dries kind of like a papier-mâché and it holds in the moisture and the toothpaste. In the morning, you just put a wet towel on it, and it all comes off."

Gigi rarely mixes up her beauty routine, explaining that she only uses more lotion during Fashion Months due to the excessive use of make-up remover "sucking the moisture" out of her skin. On a day-to-day basis the blonde beauty sticks to a clean cosmetics look, giving the illusion she is bare-faced.

Gigi's younger sister Bella has also began her career in the world of fashion, landing jobs such as the cover of Jalouse magazine and the face of accessories brand Botkier New York.

"Definitely me," Gigi laughed when asked who the biggest beauty junkie is. "I personally think my sister is so stunning without make-up. And she doesn’t wear that much make-up because she has the best skin colour."
