Georgia May Jagger: Mum is my icon
Georgia May Jagger loves her mother's "old Hollywood" style.
The model is the daughter of Jerry Hall and Sir Mick Jagger, so it's no wonder she's been blessed with looks and a super-cool persona.
As 59-year-old Jerry also pounded the catwalks in her heyday, she's been a great source of inspiration for 23-year-old Georgia.
"She's my style icon, definitely," the blonde beauty gushed in an interview with German magazine Gala. "She has that old Hollywood look that I love."
But while the fashion star knows to appreciate her stylish parent now, it wasn't the same story a few years ago. Jerry used to collect her daughter from school dressed to the nines, often sporting a full face of make-up and fur.
At the time, it was too much for the model, who just wanted to be like her friends.
“When you’re young, no one cares who your parents are, although mum would arrive to pick me up in her full hair and make-up and fur, and I used to say, ‘Can’t you just dress normally, like all the other mums?’" she recently recalled to Red magazine.
“I wanted her to blend in more, but I’ve always been really proud of mum - as proud as she is of me.”
Jerry added that Georgia would beg her to wear a tracksuit instead. But overall, she's very pleased with her daughter's level-headed streak.
“Georgia’s very grounded, very sensible - she’s better at managing her finances than I am," she admitted.
