Georgia Howorth: Modelling was a surprise
Georgia Howorth hadn't thought about modelling until Katie Grand cast her for a shoot.
The budding fashion star is currently gracing the cover of fashion magazine Self Service and while she's currently still studying, she's also fully immersing herself into all things style.
Falling into a fashion career is not so surprising though, as her mother Jeny was a prolific model in the 80s.
"I hadn’t thought about [modelling] until Katie Grand asked to shoot me for Love magazine. Then while I was in New York last year, mum’s old friend Arthur Elgort asked to shoot some photos of me and as he is a bit of a legend, of course I said yes. It just went from there. Then I shot with Drew Jarrett, who I think is so talented," Georgia explained to style.com.
Since then Georgia has made her runway debut, walking for Giles Deacon as part of London Fashion Week last month.
Dressed in an opulent gothic gown she joined supermodel Erin O'Connor in the runway show, watched by a star studded front row including Cara Delevingne, Emily Ratajkowski and Daisy Lowe.
"[It was] unreal! What a dress Giles gave me for my first-ever runway! It was wild. I loved it. Amazing dress, amazing styling by Katie Grand, and those darks lips - the whole experience was unforgettable," she gushed.
Now Georgia is looking forward to what the future holds in fashion and reveals she'd love to work with some of the biggest names in photography including Mario Testino, Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott and Inez Van Lamsweerde and Vinoodh Matadin.
