George Le Page: Suki shoot was a shock

George Le Page didn't ever expect to pose half naked with Suki Waterhouse.

The British model has been making a name for himself in fashion after being handpicked by Christopher Bailey to walk for Burberry.

Modelling came about accidently for George, who was scouted as he walked into his university, and he's found himself in some surreal situations.

"The campaign [SS15 Burberry Prorsum] came out after I’d done the show, which was being thrown in at the deep end! But it was a really amazing experience, to be picked out of so many people. There are so many models in the world and I still question why sometimes," he revealed to Matches Fashion.

"It was quite nerve-wracking on the way there because I didn’t know what to expect – I didn’t expect I’d be half naked, entwined with Suki Waterhouse! But you are nervous and then you sort of get into it – you realise that everyone you’re with there is a human being as well and is as nervous as you are."

The images were revealed in March and feature Suki and George wrapped in one of Burberry's iconic plaid scarves. Suki's lips are painted bright red and George sports a print of her lips near his mouth at one point.

"It was the first campaign I’d done – a little lamb! But it is like a Burberry family – everyone is so welcoming," he smiled.

As well as posing in front of the camera, George is also a keen musician and plays with band Of Empires.

Luckily he's not had to pick just one line of work, explaining the two enhance each other.

"Fashion and music work hand in hand. Symbiotic is the best way to describe it, really. One thing that modelling and Burberry have helped [me] with is how you present yourself on stage and how you look. If you look at anyone from David Bowie to Prince, fashion is music," he said.
