Exhausted Naomi Campbell 'lost it' due to hectic lifestyle
Supermodel Naomi Campbell is "exhausted" and struggling to cope with her relentless work schedule.
The British beauty recently jetted back to her native U.K. after trips to Brazil and New York to promote her new book, entitled Naomi.
And the 45-year-old star, who has a history of legal troubles relating to losing her temper with staff, admits that her hectic work life became too much for her over the weekend (16-17Apr16).
“When you are on the road travelling and are on the road all the time it is tiring," she told Britain's Daily Mirror newspaper. "I lost it on Sunday. I was just exhausted.
"I was working in Brazil for one whole week non-stop and I got on a plane and came here and started working again," Naomi added. "You may think I have it all.
"I was stressed on Sunday and when I get stressed I internalise everything and I think I can cope with it all. I was just exhausted and it all came to a head. We all get stress. I get about six planes a week.”
The model has been convicted of assault on four occasions, including a 2008 incident which saw her plead guilty to assaulting two police officers at London's Heathrow Airport.
However she appears to have mellowed in recent years, largely avoiding the courts apart from a 2015 assault conviction in Italy for an incident which occurred in 2009.
Naomi also had a well publicised battle with drug addiction and puts her recovery from her troubled past down to her religious faith, noting, “I do believe in a higher power. I am in recovery and by the grace of God I am clean and sober today."
Her new book, which she launched in London this week (end22Apr16) looks back at her modelling career, and includes a collection of photographs from magazine covers, adverts and features.
The book does not come cheap however, retailing at $1,750 (£1,250).
