Erin Wasson's innate fashion sense

Erin Wasson's knack for putting effortless ensembles together comes naturally to her.

The 34-year-old model and designer describes her style as free, easy and relaxed, admitting the older she gets, the more straightforward her taste in clothes is. Quizzed on how she achieves such a laid back look, Erin puts it down to natural instinct.

“I've become so simple these days. I like the idea of not looking at trends, not being driven by them. I like what I like and that's it,” she told Who What Wear. “I think it is something built into you. I think if you try to be something you are not it can look contrived and go wrong, but I do think people can strip down their style to be more basic.”

One wardrobe staple for the star is boots and she puts her love of the footwear down to being a Texan native. She’s keen for others to experiment with their shoes and urges women to be “brave” in wearing out-there designs, pairing them with either a plan outfit or matching.

Her love of footwear makes her the perfect candidate to be the face of London-based brand Attribute, wearing an array of its designs in campaign photos.

“The design mentality of the brand, plus the vibe and spirit of the collection is quite rock and roll,” she gushed of what she loves about the shoe company, which she will also be creating for. “I like that they are new and at the early stages of crafting what they will look and feel like... I like that they are taking on the shoe giants by removing the wholesale margin from the cost and retailing directly to a consumer; it's brave.”

Another love of Erin’s is jewellery and she has her own line, Wasson Fine. The ornate range boasts gold, sterling silver, pearls and diamonds.
