David Gandy's ultimate Christmas gift guide

David Gandy thinks the pants he designed make the perfect Christmas (25Dec15) present - and he won't mind if you scribble his face out either.

Leaving gift shopping until the last minute is a trait many are guilty of, but with David's fool-proof gift ideas, the model says you can't go wrong. Most of his top picks are a stylish take on Christmas classics, such as socks and loungewear.

"Lucky pants," he told Britain's Grazia magazine. "Women have so much underwear, so I wanted to create new pants for men (for British high street retailer Marks & Spencer). I love the houndstooth pattern. Unfortunately, I am on the cover, but you can scribble it out.

"Snazzy socks. Socks are a little traditional, but they are an important accessory for men and these guys (The London Sock Company) make the best! From herringbone to Prince of Wales check cashmere, they have it all.

"Luxe loungewear. I wanted my loungewear to be something you could pop to the shops and to the gym in. Snug as a bug in a rug!"

David is such a fan of chilling out, he even created a bathrobe for Marks & Spencer. "A dapper dressing gown," he listed as item number four. "I will be lounging around in this and it's a gift you can steal for yourself."

Despite his love of lounging, 35-year-old David is better known for being suited and booted. He is a Savile Row devotee, often rocking sharp looks from the famous London street, known for its tailoring. While buying a suit may blow your budget, the fashion star suggests a more affordable way to add a touch of class.

"A bow tie for your beau," he smiled. "A bespoke suit from the tailors to the most stylish men in the world might be a push, but (Thom Sweeney) have some of the best accessories, including ties and pocket squares."
