Daisy Ridley sprints for fitness
Daisy Ridley five minute sprints make her feel "badass".
The 'Star Wars: The Force Awakens' actress - who made her big screen breakthrough as Rey in the sci-fi film - has gained a new found love for sprinting to keep fit and her short blasts on the treadmill make her feel "powerful".
Speaking about her fitness routine during a Facebook Live question and answer session, the brunette beauty said: "Something I love to hate, or I hate to love? Is maybe running.
"I've got more into sprinting, I like that, but sometimes I feel like my brain is rattling in my skull. But then I always feel really badass afterwards. I'm like, 'Oh yeah!'
"I only ever do five minutes [of running], it's got to be said. But when you get off the treadmill, when you stop running, you feel powerful."
Although she avoided the gym and sports until her lead role as Rey required get in great shape so she could film her own stunts.
The 23-year-old actress trains for four hours a day, four days a week, but at the moment there are some strength building exercises she can't do because of an injury to her left wrist.
She explained: "I never really did sports until now, and I feel like now I really like it. I have a bad wrist, so I can't put weight on my left hand. I can't do push-ups, which I think is a great way of showing strength."
Daisy is currently filming 'Star Wars: Episode VIII' at Pinewood Studios in England along with John Boyega, Mark Hamill, Adam Driver, Gwendoline Christie and Carrie Fisher.
